So most stuff that comes out of R&D departments isn’t that applicable to real world uses. Case in point: Microsoft’s Song Smith. This is somewhat a nifty idea. Allow users to sing into their computers and have the computer create accompyaning tracks for you. Of course things often work out in theory better than they do in practice. Despite how horrible the Song Smith has really tunred out, a few Microsoft engineers decided to create a promotion for it, this has been taking youtube by storm.
Well as if that wasn’t soul crushing enough, there is another video done, with the musical styling of the SongSmith: Sgt Peppers.
